Tahiti 3-8 Spain - Group C

Spain Overcome Tahiti to Reach Quarter-Finals.

The third time proved to be the charm for Spain, as they finally overcame Tahiti at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup™, securing a quarter-final spot at Seychelles 2025 and setting up a blockbuster clash with Brazil.

Having lost to Tahiti in the previous two editions of the tournament, La Roja were determined to reverse their fortunes—and they did so in style. Spain opened the scoring in the first period through Ramy Saghdani, who rifled home a powerful left-footed free-kick.

A red card for Tahiti handed Spain a crucial advantage, and David Ardil capitalised to make it 2-0. Soleman Batis added a third before Tahiti found a lifeline. Roonui Tinirauarii converted from the penalty spot, and an own goal from Chiky suddenly brought the Pacific Islanders within striking distance.

But Spain responded with composure and class. A barrage of late goals from Juanmi, Chiky, Saghdani, Batis, and Roberto Galindo ensured a decisive victory and a long-awaited triumph over a familiar rival.

With the win, Spain move into the last eight and prepare for a high-stakes encounter with tournament heavyweights Brazil.
