Global jury to announce winner of International Wave Dance Song Competition

The International Wave Dance Song Competition, hosted by the Danny Faure Foundation, has wrapped up its submission phase, with a distinguished jury panel set to select the winner.
Chaired by Seychelles’ honorary ambassador for Culture, Patrick Victor—an acclaimed musician and producer—the jury features global talent: Gramps Morgan (Americas & Caribbean), Salā Seutatia Mata’utia Pene Solomona-Aveau (Pacific), Eunice Tong (Asia), Simone Arafa (Europe), Natalie Nqobile Monin (Africa), and Gérard Louis (Indian Ocean). The panel began reviewing submissions after April 30, 2025 and will announce the winner on June 8, 2025. The competition aims to create a signature tune for the Wave Dance Initiative, promoting ocean conservation.
The diverse jury brings cultural and artistic perspectives from across the globe, ensuring a fair and creative evaluation process. The winning artist will receive a US $5,000 cash prize, a trophy, and a certificate from the African Mosaique Design Centre.
