Bel Ombre school celebrates 20th anniversary
Built in 2005, Bel Ombre primary school is celebrating 20 years of existence. A formal ceremony was held yesterday not only to mark this milestone but also to honour former head teachers and staff, and to reward the best pupils of 2024.
The event was graced by First Lady Linda Ramkalawan, members of the school board, parents, and school partners. The school’s head teacher for the past 17 years, Stella Payet, described it as an interesting journey.
“Bel Ombre is an inclusive school where all pupils, regardless of their different learning abilities, are welcomed. We have made a lot of progress thanks to the proper guidance and training our staff has received to support the children,” she shared.
