Ceps’ board announces appointment of Tessa Henderson as new CEO
The board of the Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles has announced the appointment of Tessa Henderson as its new chief executive, effective July 1, 2025.
A press release issued yesterday by the board describes Ms Henderson as a highly accomplished communications and media professional with over two decades of experience. Her extensive background spans broadcasting, media policy development, civil society engagement, research, capacity building, and strategic leadership. She holds a Master's Degree in Media Leadership from the University of Cumbria, UK, and a Bachelor's Degree in Media with a specialisation in Radio Production from the University of Chester, UK.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms Henderson is recognised for her profound dedication to civil society. She has been very active in various civil society organisations, volunteering her time and experiences to the greater needs of citizens. She has also previously served the Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (Ceps) as the Membership and Communication Manager. Her passion for giving back deeply aligns with Ceps’ core values and social impact goals.
In her new role, Ms Henderson will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and stakeholder engagement of Ceps.
“The Board is confident that Ms Henderson's leadership will significantly contribute to Ceps’ mission of fostering greater citizen engagement and promoting positive social change in Seychelles,” states the press release.
