Finnish ambassador pays farewell visit to President Ramkalawan

Finnish ambassador to Seychelles, Pirkka Tapiola, has ended his three-year tenure by paying a farewell visit to President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday morning at State House.

Speaking to the media, Mr Tapiola shared that he enjoyed his time in the country and cited Seychelles as the leading African country in democracy.

He noted that while Seychelles does not benefit from development aid due to its status as a high-income country, cooperation remained vibrant at the European Union level.
