The Minister for Lands and Housing, Billy Rangasamy, yesterday visited two major housing redevelopment projects, namely Corgate Estate and Mont Buxton.
Both projects are government-funded and contracted to Seychellois company Dean Builders.
The first 16-unit development at Hangard Street, Mont Buxton, is expected to begin on February 10, 2026, for a duration of nine months. It is costing around R13.6 million. Civil works are currently underway to facilitate access for trucks transporting granite, bricks, and other construction materials. Physical construction will commence once the perimeter walls are completed to secure and stabilise the terrain.
