Seychelles is making significant progress in its commitment to open governance and participatory policymaking. Throughout June and early July 2025, a series of nationwide co-creation meetings were held to gather diverse input for the country’s third Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan. This initiative underscores Seychelles’ dedication to fostering transparency, accountability, and citizen empowerment.
The OGP, launched on September 20, 2011, by eight founding countries, aims to secure concrete commitments from governments to promote transparency, empower citizens, fight corruption, and harness new technologies to strengthen governance. Seychelles' active participation reflects its ongoing efforts to align with these global best practices.
