New lanes at Ile du Port set to ease traffic congestion

The newly constructed lanes at Ile du Port are expected to ease traffic congestion

The Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, has inaugurated the newly constructed lanes at Ile du Port, which have been designed to ease traffic congestion for motorists travelling towards Victoria.

This took place on Thursday after he visited a series of ongoing and completed projects undertaken by the Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA) in several districts in the northern part of Mahé namely Saint Louis, Mont Buxton, Anse Etoile, Beau Vallon, Bel Ombre, English River, and Île Perseverance. Minister Derjacques was accompanied by the principal secretary for land transport, Patrick Andre, and SLTA’s chief executive, Parinda Herath. During each visit, elected members and district administrators had the opportunity to engage with the minister, highlight the progress of projects, and raise pertinent issues of concern.
