The Ministry of Transport extends heartfelt congratulations to Colin Chang-Tave, chief executive of the Seychelles Airports Authority (SAA), on his election as board member at large for the East Africa Region on the Airports Council International (ACI) Africa Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 mandate.

This historic appointment, the first for Seychelles, is a source of immense national pride and reflects the growing recognition of Seychellois leadership within Africa’s aviation sector.
The Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, also commends Lorella Uranie, general manager (Human Resources & Administration), and Alvynas Vidot, manager (Airport Planning, Performance and Transformation), on their successful elections to ACI Africa committees. Their appointments reaffirm the calibre of Seychellois professionals and the confidence placed in them by their African peers.
Minister Derjacques remarked: “This is a proud and historic moment for Seychelles. The election of Mr Chang-Tave, together with the appointments of Ms Uranie and Mr Vidot, is a testament to the quality of leadership and expertise that Seychelles brings to the aviation sector. It is not only a recognition of their personal achievements but also a reflection of the progress we continue to make as a nation. As Minister for Transport, I commend the Seychelles Airports Authority for this remarkable accomplishment, which enhances Seychelles’ visibility and strengthens our voice within the African aviation community. The Ministry of Transport stands firmly in support of the Authority as it carries this important responsibility forward.”
At the government level, this collective success is recognised as a milestone that brings honour to the nation and elevates Seychelles’ profile across Africa and beyond. It underscores the government’s enduring commitment to investing in talent, empowering national institutions, and supporting Seychellois professionals to thrive on regional and international platforms.
The Ministry of Transport affirms that this achievement is closely aligned with the government’s vision of advancing air connectivity, sustainability, and resilience as integral pillars of Seychelles’ national transport strategy. It is a moment of pride not only for the aviation community but for the entire country.
