“This year, World Habitat Day is being commemorated globally on Monday, October 6, 2025, under the theme ‘Urban Crisis Response’. Observed annually on the first Monday of October, the day is a time to reflect on unexpected events such as natural disasters and emergencies, and the need for effective responses to protect people and restore normality. The theme highlights the growing impact of crises, such as climate change and conflicts on urban areas, and effective responses, through promotion of these sustainable solutions, inclusive planning, and the vital role of local governments in building resilient communities.
