President-elect Dr Patrick Herminie denounces outgoing administration’s late appointments, vows review

The Office of the President-elect, Dr Patrick Herminie, has issued a strong denunciation of the outgoing LDS administration's decision to effect key civil service appointments in the critical period between the presidential runoff results and the upcoming inauguration.

The people of Seychelles delivered a clear and decisive mandate for change on October 11. In light of this democratic expression, the President-elect views the continuation of major policy and personnel decisions by the outgoing administration as deeply disappointing and fundamentally inconsistent with the spirit of democratic transition.
