Seychelles celebrates Diwali

Diwali, the festival of lights celebrated by millions of people across the world, was also marked in Seychelles on Saturday night at the Roche Caiman swimming pool, running a 90-minute programme.

The event organised by the Seychelles Hindu Council in collaboration with this year’s main co-sponsor, the Indian Association Seychelles, was graced by the presence of incoming First Lady Veronique Herminie, Minister for Land and Housing, Billy Rangasamy, members of the diplomatic corps and of the Seychelles Interfaith Council (Sifco).
