Diabetes awareness session for workplaces on Praslin

Representatives of various organisations on Praslin took part in a workshop yesterday to mark this year’s World Diabetes Day.

The session at the Baie Ste Anne community centre was held under the theme ‘Diabetes and the Workplace’. It was officially launched by the nurse manager of Baie Ste Anne Praslin hospital, Myra Ernesta. In her short remarks, she said it is important that the human resources officers get a greater understanding on prevention of diabetes and how to support diabetic individuals in their workplaces.
