New principal secretary to boost inner islands coordination

Representatives of various ministries and agencies on Praslin have been briefed on the mandate, operations, and expected outcomes of the newly established Inner Islands Affairs and Community Delivery department, headed by Principal Secretary Denis Antat.

The meeting, held yesterday afternoon at the Pension Fund Complex in Grand Anse Praslin, was chaired by the Minister for Local Government and Inner Islands, Eveline Rose. Also present were National Assembly members Hon. Alvin Grandcourt (Grand Anse Praslin) and Hon. Churchill Gill (Baie Ste Anne), PS for Local Government and Community Services Vicky Van Der Westhuizen, Mr Antat, senior management members of the ministry, and representatives from various departments and agencies.
