Vegetation cleanup to boost sea turtle nesting on Ste Anne

Sea turtle nesting success is expected to improve on Ste Anne Island following a recent vegetation cleanup carried out on its nesting beaches.

The initiative was led by the research, marine operations, forestry, and national parks teams of the Seychelles National Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA) under the Global Environment Facility (GEF)-7 Blue Economy project, with support from the University of Seychelles’ Island Biodiversity and Conservation (IBC) Centre.
