A seawall is currently being constructed at Mare Anglaise, Beau Vallon, as part of Seychelles’ coastal rehabilitation programme aimed at safeguarding road infrastructure and vegetation.
Work on the 100‑metre wall, which stretches from opposite the Kot Mike store to the entrance of La Batie Road, began on November 19, 2025. The project, implemented by Sun Excavation at a cost of R5.6 million, is being coordinated by the Department of Climate Change within the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA).
