A one-and-a-half-hour cultural show titled ‘NOUMENM’ was held at the International Conference Centre Seychelles on February 1 to commemorate the Abolition of Slavery Day. The event paid tribute to the resilience, history, and identity of the Seychellois people through a rich programme of artistic expression.
The evening featured a series of powerful performances from some 30 local artists, including singing and poetry, each reflecting themes of freedom, remembrance, and cultural pride. The performances captivated the audience, creating a reflective yet celebratory atmosphere that honoured the significance of the occasion. Among those present were President Patrick Herminie, First Lady Veronique Herminie, and Vice-President Sebastian Pillay.
