Open call for national monument to commemorate abolition of slavery

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture has officially launched an open call for the conceptualisation and design of a national monument to commemorate the Abolition of Slavery Day.
Observed annually on February 1, the Abolition of Slavery Day remains one of the most important dates in the country’s historical calendar, marking a turning point in the nation’s journey toward freedom and identity.
