Government announces new boards for key national institutions
The Office of the President has announced the appointment of new boards for three major institutions in Seychelles, marking a significant step in strengthening governance and leadership across the country’s development, housing, and social care sectors. All appointments are effective from March 1, 2026 and will run for a period of three years.
2020 Development Company Limited
The 2020 Development Company Limited, tasked with driving national development initiatives, has a newly appointed board. Bernard Adonis will serve as chairperson, with Joseph François as vice-chairperson. Other members include Joan Valmont, Charlene Lewis, Charles De Clarisse, Dylis Cedras, and Bernice Senaratne.
Housing Finance Company Limited
The Housing Finance Company Limited, which plays a pivotal role in expanding access to housing finance, has also been restructured with a new board. Christian Lionnet has been appointed chairperson. The board members are Elizabeth Agathine, May-Paule Volcère, Keith Arnephy, Charles Ally, Alice Gill, and Aaron Leong-Pon. The chief executive officer, Ronny Palmyre, will serve as an ex-officio member.
Seychelles Home Care Agency
The Seychelles Home Care Agency, responsible for providing essential care services to the community, has likewise received new leadership. Marie-Josée Bonne has been appointed chairperson, with Noella Brioche as vice-chairperson. Other members include Georges Nicette, Marylene Lucas, and Marie-France Pereira.
