Tampon Gecko Volley repeat double win
After achieving a historic double in 2025 in Mauritius, Tampon Gecko Volley of Reunion have retained the men’s and women’s titles of the Confederation of African Volleyball Zone 7 club championship by asserting their dominance on the Palais des Sports court.
In Saturday’s electrifying finals inside a packed Palais des Sports where fans were treated to a display of volleyball at its finest, Tampon Gecko Volley’s men’s side, captained by Raphael Guermeur, outclassed Gendarmerie Nationale of Madagascar 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-17) to win the title for the fourth time in a row, while the women’s side, skippered by Natacha Guermeur, had to dig deep into their reserves to overcome a determined Arsu Ladies of Seychelles 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 14-25, 25-22, 15-11) for their second consecutive title win.
