SS Xavier Estico appointed to key international science bodies

The secretary of state for Science, Technology and Innovation, Xavier Estico, has been appointed to two prominent international bodies in the field of science and innovation, further strengthening Seychelles’ voice in global discussions on technology and sustainable development.

Mr Estico has been named a member of the Extended Council of the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) for the 2025–2027 term. The ISDE Extended Council is an invitation‑only body composed of distinguished professionals who guide the organisation’s strategic direction and contribute to initiatives promoting digital technologies, geospatial information, and data‑driven solutions for sustainable development.
