Gilbert Nourrice promoted to deputy chief fire officer

The Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency has promoted Gilbert Nourrice to the position of deputy chief fire officer.

Mr Nourrice was officially promoted on Thursday March 26, 2026, by chief fire officer Tally Domingue, in the presence of the Minister for Homeland Security and Civil Affairs, James Camille, senior officials from the minister’s secretariat, senior officers of the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA), and members of his family.

Prior to his promotion, Mr Nourrice served as head of the operations and training section since 2024. He succeeds Jones Madeleine who left the service at the end of 2025 to pursue new career opportunities.
