“On this World Health and Health Worker's Day, I extend my deepest respect, gratitude, and admiration to every doctor, nurse, midwife, technician, caregiver, ambulance officer, community health worker, cleaner, and support staff who serves our nation with dedication and compassion.

“Across every island of Seychelles, our health workers stand as silent guardians of life. They are present in our moments of greatest vulnerability – bringing healing to the sick, comfort to families, reassurance to the elderly, and hope to those facing uncertainty. Their service goes far beyond profession; it is a profound act of humanity.

“The strength of any nation is measured not only by its economy or infrastructure, but by the care it gives to its people. Our health workers embody that care every single day. Whether in our hospitals, district clinics, outreach programmes, or emergency response teams, they continue to serve with professionalism, resilience, and heart.

“Today, we honour the long hours, the personalsacrifices, and the emotional burdens they carry in the service of others. We also recognise their vital role in building a healthier, stronger, and more secure Seychelles for future generations.

“To all our health professionals and support teams, thank you for the dignity with which you serve, the lives you touch, and the hope you restore.

“May you continue to find strength in your noble calling, and may our nation never take for granted the extraordinary value of your service.

“Happy Health Worker's Day.”
