Seychelles is hosting a two-day capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening the country’s ability to attract investment in renewable energy and support its transition to cleaner power.
The workshop on the Bankability of Energy Transition in Seychelles, which was opened at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort yesterday, brought together a range of stakeholders to discuss the country’s energy transition landscape, with a focus on enhancing investment readiness and achieving long-term sustainability goals.
The initiative is being organised by the Seychelles Investment Board (SIB) in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). It forms part of an ongoing three-year project aimed at supporting the government in attracting investment in renewable energy and green technologies, while strengthening stakeholder capacity and collaboration in advancing the country’s sustainable development agenda.
