Seychelles and the Russian Academy of Sciences sign MoU |22 April 2026

The Ministry of Tourism & Culture of the Republic of Seychelles has formalised a significant step forward in international cultural cooperation through the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Rescue Archaeology Centre of the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The agreement was signed by Minister Amanda Bernstein and Dr Natalia F. Solovieva, director of the Rescue Archaeology Centre. The ceremony was witnessed by Aleksandr Odoevskii, counsellor at the embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Seychelles; Farit Muhametshin, counsellor to the President of the Group of Strategic Vision ‘Russia and Muslim World’; and Airat Ahmetov.
Also present were the Seychelles Minister for Industry and Enterprise, Geralda Desaubin, and the Minister for Youth and Sport, Kalsey Belle.
