Seychelles Tuna Conference 2026 charts path for sustainable fisheries

The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and the Blue Economy, in partnership with the European Union, the Seychelles Fisheries Authority, and Indian Ocean Tuna Limited, hosted the Seychelles Tuna Conference 2026 yesterday at Eden Bleu.

The one-day event gathered government officials, industry leaders, and international organisations to discuss the sustainable management of tuna fisheries – a cornerstone of Seychelles’ economy and a vital resource for the Western Indian Ocean.
