‘She Grows, She Sustains’: Women farmers cultivating resilience in Seychelles
Only 12% of farmers in Seychelles are women. Yet, despite their small numbers, they have long been at the forefront of producing food and supplying the local market. To honour their contributions, the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and the Blue Economy, in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady, the British High Commission, Enterprise Seychelles Agency, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organised an All-Women Farmers Forum at the DoubleTree by Hilton Allamanda Resort and Spa on Friday.
