Assembly approves culture reform bill
The National Assembly of Seychelles has approved the Seychelles Culture, Heritage and the Arts Bill 2026, paving the way for the abolition of the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts (SNICHA), established in 2021.
The bill, presented by Minister for Tourism and Culture Amanda Bernstein during Tuesday’s sitting, repeals the SNICHA Act to return all constituent institutions under the direct purview of the Ministry.
