Kyron Hoareau wins sixth Spelling Bee

Kyron Hoareau of Perseverance primary school emerged victorious in the sixth Primary School Spelling Bee Competition, held on Saturday afternoon, May 23, 2026. He was followed by Doanne Ochieng of Beau Vallon primary school in second place and Daivik Gohel of Independence primary school in third.

The finals, hosted at the National Theatre, Mont Fleuri, brought together 40 contestants from primary schools across the country. Among those present were principal secretary for General Education & Curriculum Justin Zelime and several invited guests.
