Minister Laporte rules out inquiry on State House import leaks
Minister for Finance, Economic Planning, Trade and Investment, Pierre Laporte, appeared before the National Assembly yesterday morning to answer a private notice question raised by leader of the opposition, Bernard Georges, regarding the publication of confidential importation documents linked to the State House.
The private notice question (PNQ) followed comments made by President Patrick Herminie during a live press conference on May 7, where he referred to documents concerning the importation of goods through the State House. The documents were later published in the political newspaper The People.
