Minister Alexander tackles staff concerns at Six Senses Zil Pasyon

The Minister for Employment and Human Resource Planning, Idith Alexander, visited Six Senses Zil Pasyon on Félicité Island on Friday, May 22, 2026, as part of her weekly ministerial outreach programme.

The visit began with a meeting between the ministerial delegation and staff members, who openly shared concerns about their working conditions. Key issues raised included:

• Low salaries, particularly the basic pay structure
• An appraisal system perceived as unfair and unreflective of employee contributions
• Poor communication between staff and management
• Staff shortages resulting in heavier workloads
• Overtime without proper compensation
• Lack of affordable shop services on-site
• Disorganised split shifts affecting work-life balance
