MECENR connects art and nature on World Environment Day |06 June 2026

Staff from the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Energy and Natural Resources (MECENR), together with representatives from partner organisations and students from the Seychelles Institute of Art and Design (SIAD), gathered at the historic Mission Ruins of Venn’s Town, Sans Souci, for a creative ‘Paint, Create and Sip’ session.

The activity, held yesterday, commemorated World Environment Day and invited participants to step away from their daily routines to reconnect with nature. Inspired by the lush surroundings, attendees expressed themselves through painting, creative writing, and crafting with natural materials.
