Lorloz stands proud in renewed splendour
At exactly 7pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026, Seychelles witnessed the unveiling of the newly restored Clock Tower, which has stood proudly at the heart of Victoria for more than 123 years. The long-awaited ceremony drew members of the public eager to celebrate the revival of one of the nation’s most cherished landmarks.
The restored Clock Tower was officially unveiled by President Patrick Herminie, Minister for Tourism & Culture Amanda Bernstein, Mayor of Victoria Josy Michaud-Payet, and Raphael Mein, a member of the Heritage Club of Plaisance secondary school.
