Assembly committee flags delays in Pointe Larue school works   

Visiting the creche

The Committee on Government Assurances of the National Assembly, led by chairperson Hon. Phillip Monthy and vice‑chairperson Hon. Rocky Uranie, conducted a site visit yesterday to Pointe Larue secondary school and Pointe Larue crèche. The visit formed part of the committee’s mandate to monitor and verify commitments made by government officials.

Accompanied by committee members Hon. Wilbert Herminie, Hon. Claudette Louise, Hon. Denise Clarisse, Hon. François Adelaide, and Hon. Sandra Sultan, as well as clerk Samia Lebon and assistant clerk Samia Joseph, the delegation was joined by Hon. Conrad Gabriel, elected member for Pointe Larue. Lead project manager, Ijalana Olusegun Ebenezer, and project manager Steve Alphonse from the Seychelles Infrastructure Agency (SIA), together with representatives from the Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development, were also present.
