National Assembly explores foreign policy role
A team from the National Assembly Service on Monday met with Professor Peter J. Schraeder (PhD), accompanied by his spouse Catherine Schraeder, to discuss the Parliament’s influence on foreign policy in Seychelles.
The delegation was led by Clerk Tania Isaac, joined by deputy Clerk Alexandria Faure, director of the Speaker’s Office Nickey Antat, legal advisor Catherine Ombima, and research officer Emma Didon.
Professor Schraeder, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University in Chicago, is a specialist in African politics and foreign policy. His latest research focuses on democratisation and its impact on African foreign policy, leading him to identify Seychelles as a compelling case study.
