Tourism minister outlines recovery plans and service excellence initiatives

The Minister for Tourism & Culture, Amanda Bernstein, appeared before the National Assembly yesterday to answer questions from members.
Recovery plans amid global challenges
The first question came from proportionately elected member of Linyon Demokratik Seselwa, Hon. Gervais Henrie, who asked about short‑term plans to reduce the impact on tourist arrivals, particularly from Europe, given the situation in the Middle East.
Minister Bernstein acknowledged that the tourism sector continues to face a difficult global environment following the Gulf conflict. Europe remains Seychelles’ principal source market, contributing around 70% of arrivals.
