Cancer medicine stocks secured, access to specialised treatments expanded

The Ministry of Health maintains a minimum six‑month stock of essential cancer medicines and continues to provide specialised treatments, including immunotherapy, based on patients’ individual clinical needs, Health Minister Dr Marvin Fanny told the National Assembly yesterday.
Dr Fanny was responding to a private notice question from leader of the opposition Hon. Bernard Georges, who raised concerns from cancer patients about reported shortages of medicines, including Exemestane tablets, and whether treatment availability was being affected.
