Minister Laporte details sale process for SCB shares

The government’s decision to sell its 60% shareholding in the Seychelles Commercial Bank (SCB) came under scrutiny in the National Assembly yesterday, with leader of the opposition Hon. Bernard Georges seeking clarification through a private notice question.
Hon. Georges asked when the decision was taken, whether other shareholders had been informed or offered the chance to purchase the shares, and what process would determine who could acquire the stake.
