Mangrove restoration continues at Cap Ternay
More than 500 mangrove seedlings have been planted at Cap Ternay as part of ongoing efforts to restore the mangrove in the area, improve coastal ecosystems and build resilience against climate change.
The rehabilitation exercise, held under the Ridge to Reef (R2R) Project, brought together over 15 officers from the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy & Natural Resources, representing the Department of Energy and Climate Affairs and the Biodiversity Conservation Division.
The activity focused on restoring degraded mangrove habitat while equipping participants with practical skills in ecosystem restoration.
