India celebrates 80th Independence Day

The Indian diaspora in Seychelles celebrated the country’s 80th Independence Day on Saturday morning with a flag‑raising ceremony at the Palais des Sports.

Following the unfurling of the Indian flag by High Commissioner (HC) Rohit Rathish, the National Anthem was played, marking the annual commemoration of India’s independence from British rule on August 15, 1947.
