Seychelles flag reaches Malawi’s highest peak as Kate continues ‘Project Ascend to Cure’
Seychelles, through adventurer Catherine ‘Kate’ Rose, reaches new heights on Sapitwa Peak, the highest point of Mount Mulanje in Malawi, where she proudly carries the national flag to an elevation of 3,002 metres.
The successful ascent marks another milestone in ‘Project Ascend to Cure’, Kate’s ongoing mountaineering initiative to raise awareness of multiple myeloma and pancreatic cancer while showcasing the Seychelles flag on some of the world’s most challenging peaks.
Reflecting on the achievement, Kate describes the moment simply as: “History made”.
