Youth bring Creole culture to Russia

Six young Seychellois recently represented Seychelles at the International Children’s Cultural Forum in Moscow, Russian Federation, where they shared elements of the country’s Creole culture while engaging with peers from around the world.

The delegation comprised Shaul Baron, Raphael Agathine, Juliano Balthilde, Ishca Betsy, Aliyah Simara and Tashira Fabien, accompanied by Johnise Juliette, senior arts development officer at the National Arts and Craft Council of Seychelles, as head of delegation. Aged between 12 and 17, the participants travelled to Moscow to promote cultural exchange, showcase Seychelles’ traditions and foster international friendship.
