‘Technology must serve people’

As artificial intelligence reshapes how the world chooses where to travel, the Minister for Tourism & Culture sets out what Seychelles is doing to keep every part of its sector visible.

“Tomorrow, September 27, the world pauses to consider what tourism is for. In Seychelles, the answer begins with our people: the Seychellois in our kitchens, on our boats, at our reception desks, at the wheel of our taxis and in every other part of our industry. The country’s prosperity passes through their hands every day. This year, UN Tourism asks us to consider a force already reshaping our industry faster than any policy cycle can follow: the digital agenda and artificial intelligence.
