Russia donates medical supplies, food commodities and books to Seychelles

The Government of Seychelles received a consignment of humanitarian assistance from the Russian Federation on Saturday afternoon at Port Victoria, comprising medical supplies, food commodities and books intended to support several national institutions.

The donated items, transported aboard the Russian Navy training ship Perekop, included medical supplies valued at approximately US $16,368 for the Ministry of Health, four tonnes of sunflower oil worth around US $5,200 and 200 kilogrammes of cereal valued at US $2,000 for the Seychelles Trading Company (STC), as well as five cartons of books worth US $1,000 for the National Library.
