Sharing a meal around the family table creates space for conversation, laughter and memories

Sometimes, it is not the food we remember most, but the people gathered around the table.

There was a time when Sunday was my favourite day of the week. It was the one day when I could escape the constant rush from one responsibility to another and simply enjoy being at home with my mother and children.

When my two older children were young and we were living with my late mother at Anse Aux Pins, Sunday mornings had a rhythm all their own. I would wake early to prepare a big breakfast while the rest of the household slowly stirred and got ready for the day.
