First Lady Herminie distributes the puberty pack
Seventy girls and the head boy of Plaisance primary school are being encouraged to approach puberty with confidence, self-respect and a better understanding of the changes taking place in their bodies following the launch of the ‘Welcome to Puberty’ initiative at the school.
The programme brings together the Office of the First Lady, the WOSITA Foundation through its health and wellness pillar led by WOSITA Mukta Benoiton, parents, teachers, health professionals and other partners, including Loréa Rasool and the Lions Club. It aims to break the silence surrounding puberty and create a safe space where children can ask questions and receive accurate information.
