Standing with teachers as they shape the nation’s future

“World Teachers’ Day 2026 gives us an important opportunity to recognise the dedication, professionalism and daily contribution of teachers across Seychelles. In every classroom and learning environment, teachers help build knowledge, confidence, values and the skills young people need for life. Today, we honour those who continue to serve our learners and our education system with commitment and care. “Teaching requires much more than knowledge of the subject. It demands patience, adaptability, creativity, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to every learner. Through their guidance and example, teachers help young people become responsible, respectful and resilient members of our society.
