Regatta 2026 through the eyes of the public |08 October 2026

With Regatta 2026 bringing another weekend of entertainment, activities and celebrations to Beau Vallon from October 2 to 4, members of the public were invited to share their views on this year's event and how they felt it compared with previous ones.
From entertainment and sporting activities to food, music and the general atmosphere, Regatta once again brought together families, friends, residents and visitors for a weekend of celebration.
Held under the theme ‘We Are One’, this year's Regatta also placed a strong focus on inclusion and community support, with proceeds from the event earmarked to support the local Deaf Centre and the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
But how did this year's Regatta measure up in the eyes of those who attended?
Members of the public shared their thoughts on what they enjoyed most about Regatta 2026, while also pointing out some areas they felt could be improved in future editions.
For many, the atmosphere and chance to spend time with family and friends remained among the main attractions of the annual event.
Annie Albert said she enjoyed the atmosphere at this year's Regatta, particularly the chance to spend time with friends and family.
