President Herminie conveys condolences to Nigerian counterpart following plane crash |09 October 2026

The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, has conveyed his condolences to H.E. Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, after 32 people lost their lives in a Nigerian Air Force plane crash.

In his message, President Herminie, stated: “It is with deep sadness that I learned of the plane crash in Ondo state, which resulted in the loss of military personnel and civilians.

“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Seychelles, and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the bereaved families, and the Government and the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following this tragic incident.

“At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and all those affected by this unfortunate event.”
