Miss Nadege

Four decades of shaping young minds

I spotted Nadege Medor, affectionately known to generations of pupils and the Praslin community as Miss Nadege, gliding through the lobby of Oasis Hotel, Restaurant and Spa on Tuesday, her flowing purple dress reflecting the elegance and confidence for which she is known.

Having learnt that she was marking 40 years in education this year, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate a woman whose contribution to teaching has extended far beyond the classroom.

At school events, Miss Nadege is often the life of the gathering. Always ready with a smile, a laugh or a dance, she has a remarkable gift for making children feel valued and happy. Her warmth and vibrant personality have made her one of the most recognisable and beloved figures in the Praslin school community.
